About Plate Pass & Locations of Automated Photo Enforcement

Photo enforcement laws vary significantly from state to state; some authorize enforcement statewide.   PlatePass® is an electronic toll payment system that enables car renters to use high-speed electronic toll collection lanes and bypass backups at cash lanes. The PlatePass® service also means that rental car customers will avoid costly toll violation fines otherwise incurred if high speed toll lanes are used without special equipment or prior enrollment. Plate Pass rental vehicles are automatically enabled and require bo contracts or registrations. You are charged for tolls that were incurred by your rental vehicle during your rental period based on your agreement. Had your vehicle not been PlatePass® - enabled, you will receivea toll violation or fine from the toll road authority. Most Plate Pass automated photo enforced tickets received carry a fine of $25 administration processing fee plus the violation fine.
